Ter gelegenheid van het tienjarig bestaan van Zelda: The Windwaker zijn een aantal trouwe fans aan een album met remix songs van de game begonnen; “On the breath of the wind“. Inmiddels is het album bijna af en zal het later dit jaar uitkomen. Je kunt dan niet alleen remix songs beluisteren, maar ook wordt het verhaal van de game verteld door middel van ‘dramatic narrations’.
The Legend of Zelda ‘The Windwaker’, is inmiddels alweer tien jaar oud, maar ligt ons nog vers in het geheugen. Niet in de laatste plaats om de controverciële graphics. Nintendo sloeg een totaal andere weg in met een cel-shaded avontuur, waarvan velen niet gecharmeerd waren. Ook de gameplay was anders, maar toch wel in een echte Zelda stijl. Uiteindelijk bleek het een verfrissend en leuk avontuur, hoewel het vanwege tijdsgebrek aan de korte kant was. Eind 2013 gaat Nintendo het hopelijk helemaal goed maken met de remake van dit top avontuur. Hieronder een quote van een trotse Tom Swift, de producer van het album.

To celebrate both these things I’m proud to announce ‘On the Breath of the Wind’, a musical tribute album featuring remixes of Wind Waker music.
Alongside the music the album will also feature dramatic narrations retelling the story of the Wind Waker. The album is currently set to include the artists Argle, Amphibious, Chernabogue, Mark of Two, Pixelpanic, Pokémoneinstein, Skyrider X, Thomas Swift and Tuberz McGee, and will star Michael Ellender and Glen Delaney as the King of Red Lions and Ganondorf. Work is nearly finished on the album and we hope to release it within the next year.
