Doordat het momenteel niet al te best gaat met de economie komen er ook regelmatig berichten naar buiten van game ontwikkelaars die tegenvallende resultaten hebben. Ontslagenen en reorganisaties zijn het gevolg. Ook bij Rare heeft men aangekondigd te gaan reorganiseren. Ontslagenen worden niet uitgesloten. Rare is onder andere bekend van Diddy Kong Racing en natuurlijk Golden Eye 64. Hieronder een persbericht waaruit blijkt dat het bedrijf gedwongen is te reorganiseren. Hopelijk zonder al te veel ontslagenen.
