Eerder dit jaar werd bekend dat Nintendo toch games gaat maken voor mobiele apparaten. Nu hebben we ook een indicatie van de hoeveelheid aankomende mobiele titels van Nintendo.
Nintendo verwacht tot en met april 2017 ongeveer vijf mobiele titels uit te brengen. Nintendo hoopt nog voor het einde van dit jaar de eerste mobiele game te kunnen uitbrengen. Vijf stuks in al die tijd lijkt misschien weinig, Iwata heeft aangegeven dat het doel is om alle vijf de titels echte hits te gaan maken. Eerder dit jaar werd een samenwerking tussen Nintendo en DeNA bekend. Beide bedrijven hebben aandelen van elkaar gekocht en maken zich klaar om dit najaar een groots ‘sociaal gaming netwerk’ te lanceren. Kijk jij uit naar een mobiele game van Nintendo?
“Regarding the number of the titles, you may want to know that we will release approximately five titles by the end of the next fiscal year, which is the end of March 2017,” Iwata said. “You may think it is a small number, but when we aim to make each title a hit, and because we want to thoroughly operate every one of them for a significant amount of time after their releases, this is not a small number at all and should demonstrate our serious commitment to the smart device business.
“We will strive to expand this business into global markets at a steady pace so that eventually we will entertain hundreds of millions of people all around the world. We are aiming to make this one of the pillars of Nintendo’s revenue structure.”

Hopelijk GEEN Zelda, Fire Emblem en zulk soort games, die moeten console/handheld only blijven.
Ligt er aan wat van soort game het is, geef toe de meeste mobiele games zijn prut.
