Met de E3 vlak voor de deur is het een beetje raar om nu al te denken aan een heel ander event, de Tokyo Game Show 2013. Toch is het eerste nieuws over deze show al bekend. De Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association heeft een artwork onthuld die naar verluid het ‘gezicht’ van de show gaat worden.
Gecreërd door Ippei Gyoubu, die al betrokken is bij de Tokyo Game Show sinds 2010 laat de art een character zien dat de naam ‘she’ heeft gekregen. Het stelt een futuristische vrouw voor met meerdere items die de mogelijkheid bevat zich te transformeren in iets dat “beyond the reach of imagination” zal zijn. Zij presenteert “Games: Limitless Evolution”, welke het hoofdthema is van de Tokyo Game Show van dit jaar.
“Games make a change entering a new phase that games themselves cannot imagine due to a never ending evolution. Games that continue to evolve unlimitedly have been represented. While character is the core of games, scattered parts are tools for games to evolve,” aldus Gyoubu. “The condition in which character combines with parts and transform itself depending on the needs of the age is truly the ‘infinite possibilities’ that games have.”
