Volgendemaand komt de nieuwe Sonic game voor de Wii en DS uit in Europa: Sonic Colors. De game biedt constant razendsnelle 3D gameplay en moet een van de beste Sonic games aller tijden worden. Nu is ook bekend geworden dat de game zich juist richt op Mario fans. Dit laat Takashi Iizuka, de producer van de game, weten aan IGN. Om Mario fans aan te spreken zijn er een aantal dingen in de game aangepast. Zo wil SEGA zorgen dat de game ook mensen aanspreekt die Sonic nog niet kennen.
We’ve designed things in Sonic Colours that we think will really appeal to people who are unfamiliar with the Sonic brand and the Sonic gameplay. So from that perspective we hope that fans of Mario will really be able to enjoy playing as Sonic in Sonic Colours.
